Smith College is a residential women’s college. Smith Precollege Programs offers a Smith College experience for high school students. Smith Precollege Programs are open to students entering 9th-12th grade in the fall of 2026. Please visit our website for more information. Attention - This application cannot be saved. Please be ready to complete the entirety of this application once begun. To complete this online application, be prepared to provide information for the following items: 1. Personal Essay (500-word maximum) Please visit the How to Apply page for program prompts. There will be a prompt for you to upload a PDF or Word document to the application. 2. High School Transcript Transcripts may be uploaded to your application. Two full years of grades needs to be received. Alternatively, your school may email the transcript to our office.
Depending on your current grade, you may be required to submit middle school transcripts or report cards.
Financial assistance is available to a limited number of participants and is awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need and eligibility for the program. To be considered, you must complete the section below. Tuition Assistance awards do not exceed the program's listed cost. We do not provide funding for transportation to/from the program or other miscellaneous expenses.
All application materials must be received by March 1 to be reviewed (this includes the recommender's form). Applicants who meet the deadline will be notified on March 21 with an admission and award decision. You may check the status of your application by logging into your portal (login details are sent after submission of this form). For students who complete their application after the deadline, we will review their application after March 21. Our office will send admission and award decisions on a rolling basis until programs are filled and all aid is disbursed.
