Prompt: Dr. Kimberlé Crenshaw, Smith College 2018 honorary degree recipient, coined the term "intersectionality" to describe "a lens through which you can see where power comes and collides, where it interlocks and intersects." Intersectionality highlights the complex ways in which the effects of multiple forms of discrimination (racism, sexism, classism, etc.) combine or overlap.
